I've highlighted several pairs of Church's Chelsea boots in the past but these are a more refined version, likely to look nice with a slim trouser. Made in Italy from calf leather, they feature a rubber sole, elastic side gores and a pull tab at the rear for a classic appearance that will never deteriorate in aesthetic appeal.

Dries Van Noten Skin Vinny Bomber

Dries Van Noten's Spring-Summer '15 collection features a variety of luxurious silks and fine patterns. The looks on the runway had an almost high-end sleepwear feel in terms of fabric and silhouette, accentuated by the way the garments moved. I mean that in the best way possible too. The Skin Vinny Bomber showcases this theme perfectly, while still being very wearable. The jacket is reversible and the geometric side might even edge out the plain black for me.

Viviane Sassen – Pikin Slee

A solo show by the Dutch photographer Viviane Sassen, entitled Pikin Slee, opened at the ICA in London earlier this month. The exhibition is primarily focused on a body of work from 2013 that she produced in the Surinamese village of the same name.

"My memories of Africa have always played a major role in my life and in my work. I guess that’s because they filled my very first consciousness. It’s in my spine, my blueprint so to speak. When I returned back from Kenya, all I knew was my life there, so Holland seemed very strange and new to me. Now that I’ve travelled so much in Africa over the past 12 years, my ideas about the continent and about myself in relation to it, have changed of course. But it’s a continuous journey, both in the inside world and the outside world. My work is a reflection of that journey."

Shaped Bottle Vase by Kana Tozuka

Kana Tozuka, a Japanese potter based in Hokkaido, crafts a range of ceramics inspired by an image of winter and the old streets of her hometown, Otaru. Fired at high temperatures to achieve a glistening glaze, each of these vases is unique, varying slightly in size and shape, while its rich black-bronze colouring is reminiscent of an antique aged through the passage of time.

Supreme released their Spring-Summer '15 lookbook today, along with the usual collection preview. The offering includes the eclectic mix we've come to expect and appreciate. The New York-based brand is able to strike a balance between basketball jerseys and 'fur' coats, while also working with the likes of Daniel Johnston and Schott – not an easy footing to find, yet Supreme seem to do it smoothly season after season.

Since Converse introduced their 1970s line of Chuck Taylor All Stars, I’ve greatly enjoyed how simple they’ve kept it, while still rolling out some totally unique and sometimes daring special versions each season. This leather low-top model is rendered in a muted monochromatic colour palette and certainly splices these two approaches with the addition of a leather toecap and rawhide laces.

Needles Papillon Glasses – Samuel Sunglasses

Whether it's shoes, socks, hats, clothing, remade clothing or eyewear, Needles seem capable of producing just about anything at a high level. The Samuel model from the brand's Papillon glasses collection comes in four options and features flip up lenses. I don't think it was the designer's main point of reference, but I was instantly reminded of Ozzie Smith.
