The Maglia Del Presidente cardigan is a new style in the Stone Island Ghost Piece family. Designed to offer camouflage via monochrome, this cardigan is the epitome of Stone Island design – a blend of the classic, the contemporary and the forward-thinking. The outer is double knit wool, while the interior is made using nylon. The visored hood is made in Mussola Gommata, and is both lightweight and water and windproof, offering additional protection from the elements. The perfect layer to wear beneath a collared jacket.

Stone Island Light Thermo Cotton Shirt

This is one of the better Stone Island shirts I have seen lately. Made from technical fabrics as usual, it features a cotton/polyamid blend that has insulating properties, and the colour is double dyed, hence the deep blue. I love the resemblance to a classic work shirt and I think the understated styling makes the Light Thermo Cotton Shirt one of Stone Islands's more versatile pieces.

It's always a love/hate thing, at this time of year. On one hand the temperature outside has become oppressive, and on the other brands are starting to show their Fall wares, and stores are beginning to receive their first, early deliveries. While it's going to be another couple of months until I begin to wear anything that might be considered an extra layer, it's still exciting to check out the collateral that my favourite brands are producing for the season ahead. One of the great things about Inventory is working with your mates. It's a rare and cherished thing, truth be told. Having said that, there are certain times when it puts a strain on your relationships, like last summer for instance; when two members of the team were jammy enough to be in the right place at the right time, and were able to attend the phenomenal 30 years of Stone Island exhibition in Florence. Luckily for muggins, the Italian brand has finally launched a website to celebrate the event; and it includes almost enough video and photographic stimulation to allow me to consider letting bygones be bygones.
