Nigo’s Human Made line has released one of the oddest aloha shirts I have ever seen. Which is perhaps the reason I find it so appealing in the first place. The graphic features a large-scale topless Hawaiian beauty, oddly placed on the back of the garment and primitively rendered in a flourish of muted watercolours. With many of us lamenting the loss of summer, the restrained colour palette and 100% cotton fabric make this a smart choice for transitioning into the season ahead.

It just got cold. Proper winter cold. It's been a surprisingly mild fall so far, but it seems like we just turned right into the forthcoming polar vortex this week. Weather-related hyperbole and panic aside, it's about this time of year you'll be wanting to make sure you're wrapped up. These two options, from Present's Stone Island offering for the season, provide warmth in abundance. Either by the use of goose down, or a unique three-layer system: "a highly durable performance cotton and a light cotton poplin that has then been bonded to a technical membrane." Long or short, blue or, er, blue – both are great options for the weeks, season and years ahead.

Russell Athletic Archive, introduced last year, represents a rightful acknowledgement of the brand's 112 year history. The basic sweats and T-shirts are produced by John Lofgren, and feature classic silhouettes modelled after archival pieces from Russell's past. There are some options with vintage graphics, but I always seem to prefer the plain versions myself.

UK-based brand Neuba have been producing some incredible shirts utilizing a conglomeration of weaving techniques to create a very unique garment. They are handwoven in India, making use of both ancient and modern methods, and also source out the best in rural and urban craftsmen employing traditional hand looms, amounting to a very expressive, tactile texture.

I've been very impressed by the finishing of Abbeyhorn accessories for a while now, utilizing well-polished horn to construct all of their items. Present in London has a good selection and many of the items are very versatile, if not something serviceable that you would get use out of everyday.

Sometimes I find a backpack clashes with particular outfits. A blazer-style jacket and two shoulder straps, for instance, does not work for me.
