It's always a love/hate thing, at this time of year. On one hand the temperature outside has become oppressive, and on the other brands are starting to show their Fall wares, and stores are beginning to receive their first, early deliveries. While it's going to be another couple of months until I begin to wear anything that might be considered an extra layer, it's still exciting to check out the collateral that my favourite brands are producing for the season ahead. While the weather right now isn't especially conducive to chunky knitwear, this melange gradient sweater from Jil Sander looks rather appealing. Made in Italy, the mix of navy and grey offer a subtle contrast that would be easy to wear with all of your favourite fall tones.

Nike unveiled two new footwear styles yesterday at their Innovation Summit in Portland: the Free Hyperfeel and the Free Flyknit. The presentation also included new Dri-Fit wool fabrics, down pieces and knit garments set to release this fall. With Nature Amplified as the theme, Nike staged a sensory experience around the latest technological developments in running.

While Japanese brand N. Hoolywood has been known to make some head turning garments, it's their staple pieces that have me returning to the brand almost every season. This cardigan sweat is perfect for cooler summer nights due to its light fabric, but will also work perfectly layered under jackets in the fall.

Japanese brand EEL, or Easy Earl Life, seems to have set out to create the perfect range of pants, and they are undoubtedly succeeding. Even in a lineup of great pieces, the Bon Bar pant manages to stand out. The wide, tapered silhouette produced in a lightweight linen makes for a garment perfect to be worn either casually or dressed up, and the pants are arguably not season specific either – making them an all around versatile addition to anyones wardrobe.
