Visvim's fall collection is probably one of their best to date. Featuring a series of understated new styles alongside some of their most loved items, there's a lot to choose from. The Iris Liner Jacket is something I can't remember seeing from the brand before, but it's beautifully constructed and very functional, whether you use it as outerwear, layered under something else, or attached to another Visvim piece.

The idiosyncratic Japanese label, Sacai, seems to be popping up at a lot more stockists this season, and that’s particularly exciting because the Fall-Winter ’15 collection looks really strong. Haven has received a range of shirts, pants and outerwear, many of which feature the brand’s now signature drawcord waistband. Their inventive take on a common sportswear feature transforms this fairly regular cotton flannel shirt into a unique modern classic – with equally high-level design detailing apparent across the offering.

Haven has just received a large selection of sunglasses and optical styles from Native Sons, the luxury eyewear line by Neighborhood's Shinsuke Takizawa and former Dita Asia president Tommy O'Gara. The various silhouettes, many of them substantial in form, take inspiration from a series of classic references. Unified by an iconic American nomenclature, each pair is handcrafted in Japan using the highest quality materials and comes with a custom leather case.

While Wacko Maria has definitely been on my radar over the years, it is only this season that I got my hands on something from the brand. I think the floodgates are open, and the Japanese label is one that I am certainly paying a lot more attention to. In fact, I may have found the next piece on my wish list in this outstanding 50s-inspired bowling shirt. Although the style might look a little throwback, there is nothing outlandish going on and all of the details are impressively handled – from the silky cotton/lyocell fabric, right down to the dual deployment of chain stitch embroidery.

Wtaps Slip On / Shoes

While Wtaps probably aren't best known for their footwear, it would be hard to say they don't do a great job with it. Each season they offer a variety of simple, very wearable designs, frequently alongside Vans Syndicate collaborations which are also noteworthy. This spring, they've produced these all black, leather-lined slip-ons with a cotton velveteen upper.

Featuring the same high-density nylon taffeta material and matte finish as their Black Beauty collection, it offers dark blue versions of a wide variety of pieces to suit all forms of travel – from longer trips to those taken everyday.

Engineered Garments SS15 Printed T-Shirts

Although Engineered Garments aren't necessarily known for their T-shirts, they always produce a quality range of printed options, featuring a chest pocket, split hem and crossover collar. Made in Canada, the shirts have a nice feel and a good weight, while the graphic treatments allow Daiki's personality to shine through in a more playful way.

New pieces from Undercover have started to appear at the few retailers outside of Japan that carry the collection. Elements of luxury are combined with a distinct graphic language to create the high-end punk aesthetic which Jun Takahashi is known for. Haven now have a handful of Spring-Summer '15 items, including T-shirts, hats and some outerwear.
