While spending a little over a week in London, we ran around a lot of the city, had several meetings and appointments and tried to fit in as much of the World Cup as possible. This definitely called for a few cups of coffee along the way. London has a very solid offering on the cafe front, especially in the East End. One of the most convenient and best cups however came from Present. For those who haven't visited the London shop, they have a small set up at the front of the store, which happens to be run by Gwilym Davies, 2009's world barista champion.

I can only concur... I had a sensational flat white here a couple of weeks ago. But you didn't mention the clothes?! This is first and foremost a men's clothes shop, and an excellent one at that.

Saw Gwilym today. Not at Present, but at Square Mile's new space Penny University where he was serving up some really nice filtered and siphon coffee. Think he is going to be taking a turn there from time to time. So if you pop in to Present and he's not there, that could be where he is. Mattias (the long haired chap in the pic) also makes fabulous coffee drinks at Present.
