Nigel Cabourn is definitely one of our favorite brands, and one of our favorite people. He's the type of character you never forget meeting. He's always got a story, and whether it's about a past collection or how he achieved the vintage wash on his summer suit, they're always entertaining. Joachim Baan from Anothersomething and Journal de Nimes recently had the chance to stay with him in Newcastle, find out more about his collection for SS11 and take some photos of Nigel in his natural habitat.

This new layout is nice, but I wish the smaller pictures were expandable like on the old layout. Sorry to be complaining, but I don't see the point in lowering the qaulity just for the sake of aesthetics.

Has anyone seen the Cabourn Monsoon jacket in person? I'm thinking of ordering one but i'd like to know people's thoughts if they have happened to see it in person.

His gear is nice but way overpriced, especially in this climate. You have to be rich/live with mum to afford it.
If proof were needed one need only look at the sales online.
Tons of Cabourn slashed to half-price.
I recognise he's uncompromising in his vision and that that costs money, but
why should I pay £200 for a shirt that will cost less than half that six months
down the line?

Travis - they're lovely in person, but not the most 'Cabourn' piece I've seen. there's numerous other alternatives that hit the mark for a lower price. The time I go Cabourn is for piece such as the rangoon jacket which kinda shouts Cabourn at you.. but anyway all his stuff is amazing. good luck if you are to pick one up. Hope that comment made sense!
