Gary Warnett's first post on Nike's ACG and Hiking divisions came last November, and he's just added a follow-up. Written in typically insightful fashion, both instalments are supported by some great imagery and well worth reading whether you consider yourself a fan of these cult sub-brands or not.

Nice. I still have my 2 original pairs of Mowabbs. ACG was just ahead of their time!!

I can honestly say that the read was a trip down memory lane. I'm still a huge fan of ACG. I wore ACGs religiously. Wearing out Air Azonas, Son of Lava Dome Escapes, 3 pairs of Original Mowabbs, Baltoros, Air Revaderchi, 2 pairs of Escapes (low & high), Zions, etc......

I still buy some of the new stuff. Talaria boots, Ashiko & of course the Lunar Macleay. I appreciate the fact that ACG was given some new life the past few years. I'll continue to support, no mater what the Conditions.

I was just thinking about ACGs. Can anyone recommend a light hiking boot or trail runner with Gore-Tex, Nike or otherwise?

@Jorden try looking into the Nike Lunar Macleay. There are a few that come in the gore-tex option. Also look into Adidas Originals, they have a few retro runner/joggers that are suitable for trail and come in Goret-tex also. Hope that helps??

Yeah, thanks 2D! I'm going ultralight this year and moving away from my Danner boots unless I'm crossing glaciers. The North Face Back to Berkeley looks good too but I think might even be too bulky for my interests.
