C'H'C'M' recently launched a redesign of their website coinciding with the introduction of an in-house capsule collection. Featuring a number of pieces created for them by their impressive selection of established and fledgling brands, it is this version of the perennial Reverse Scarf by Drake’s, featuring a wool black watch tartan on one side and navy polka dot silk on the other, that is my choice for a refined luxury accessory this season.

Mountain Research Pile Cardigan

Pile is everywhere among the Japanese brands this season. From hoodies to track pants to chukkas, it seems nothing has escapred the fabric. While the Name. brand gets an honourable mention for the best use of pile, my favourite piece actually comes from Mountain Research. This cardigan is the perfect style and cut to offset the traditionally frumpy fabric.

Isamu Noguchi (November 17, 1904 – December 30, 1988) was a popular Japanese-American designer, sculptor, architect, and craftsman. Noguchi is probably best known for his eponymous coffee table produced by Herman Miller and his Araki Light Sculptures; both considered to be modernist classics. He was also a landscape architect creating gardens, parks and special commissions like Playscape – which is located in my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. Built in Piedmont Park in 1976, the set of colourful, architectural, multipurpose concrete and metal pieces have recently been restored and now look brand new, making a visit especially worthwhile even for adults.

Having produced ten issues of Inventory it felt like the right time to take a step back; to evolve things and present something fresh. This is exactly what Issue 11 represents. Alongside a new format and updated design, the Fall-Winter ’14 cover, shot by Mark Borthwick, features Hiroki Nakamura – creator and designer of seminal brand Visvim. Our eleventh edition also includes Oliver Payne, Margaret Howell, John Gluckow, Dover Street Market, Hirofumi Kurino, Naissance and Yohji Yamamoto, as well as contributions by Shin Murayama, Hanna Putz, Brian DeGraw and Gosha Rubchinskiy. At 224 pages and with launches planned in Tokyo, Los Angeles and Paris, among other cities, it's our most ambitious issue to date. I've been thinking about getting a classic Kangol Bermuda since last spring but they aren't overly available these days, at least not in the stores I've been visiting. As a result, the arrival of this simple Stussy collaboration, with both brands' logos on the exterior and a more playful type treatment under the brim, turned out to be well-timed.
