'The look: bad boys of Brooklyn. The Hawks, the Saints, the Socialistic Gents lived a hard, fast life dealing dope, wielding weapons, and dodging the fuzz. They were tough, and they dressed even tougher—thick leather boots, paired with cuffed dungarees, held up with a giant brass belt buckle and buttoned, collared shirt; a cropped leather jacket made for easy back pocket access to a switchblade or comb. The smoother criminal chose an extra large suit jacket and dress shirt worn with baggy, pleated slacks and shiny black shoes. An overly sized overcoat made for clever concealment of weapons and stolen goods. Some boys wore their hair thick and slicked back, others sported a nifty newsboy or bowler hat. These candid photo's taken in the 1940s and 1950s really depict an era of violence and fearlessness among teens.'

Inspired by nature, Chup makes some beautifully crafted socks. Unique and colourful, they design various motifs such as patterns, family emblems and textiles. Made in Japan, the complicated design of each pair makes the production of the weave process very slow, adjusting size and scales depending on the design specifically crafted for that model. The attention to detail is really incredible while exclusively producing all products with recycled threads called Eco Yarn. Certainly a company to keep an eye on.

Adam Kimmel doesn't get a lot of attention on our Updates, but that isn't really for any good reason. I think that each season the collection looks quite nice, from the concepts to the execution. The garments are nicely made, not overdone for the most part, and there are always some interesting details. Along with the recent Carhartt collaboration, some of his new items have arrived in Sweden for the season.

With the recent release of their fall collection, we've each been going through and picking out our favorite items this week, and while there is nothing particular that I am going to camp out for, their look book in general looks great. The mix of color looks great, along with the mash up of traditional street wear items and more classic garments, which Supreme does a great job of each season.

This fall our collaborative effort with The Superior Labor continues. We were so pleased with our first run of melange socks that we decided to keep it going produce an on-going selection. This set offers a nice, bright feeling aesthetic which is a great way to transition from summer into the fall. The colors and mixed with a white thread, which looks even better on your feet. The made in Japan socks feel great, look nice and will be sure pair up well with a pair of white sneakers or some suede boots.
