It's pretty rare that I like all black shoes. I can probably count on one hand how many pairs I'd actually like to own. When I saw these wingtip Gillie Mocs in Yuketen's Hermosa Beach showroom, I was immediately drawn to them. The grain of the leather, the way the broguing is more subtle in black, and of course the nice touch of the ripple sole top them off very well.

Inverallan for Inventory Items Bubble Knit Caps

It's the first time we've received our Inverallan order at the beginning of the season, and we're also excited that this is our best delivery from the Scottish knitters we've ever received. Along with a pair of beautiful shawl collar cardigans, we've produced a new style of the knit cap. It's called the 'Moss' cap and with a nice bubble knit pattern, the hats are a bit less bulky and a little bit more shallow than last fall. They turned out really great, the only problem is choosing which color to get.

Nitty Gritty have received some new fall items including some great shirts. While florals and polka dots are great, they seem to be popping up in a lot of places this fall. These shirts feature some pattern and color, but in a slightly different display. I especially like the Ralph Lauren shirt, although it might not be the easiest to pull off.

Porter Reef Waist Pack

After getting some good use out of my MEC waist pack, I am still keeping an eye out for something a bit more interesting. This pack is just about the same size, and provides the same function, but the two-tone blues with the hit of the Porter label and the leather pulls looks quite nice.

Fog Linen Works make some great household items. Along with their good choice of fabrics and clean design, they also produce some nice books, catalogs and a bit of clothing. Old Faithful have a couple of linen beach towels I've been thinking about picking up, but that would mean I'd have to find time to go to the beach.

Oi Polloi have recently released their second edition of their shop/shopping guide for the season. The Pica-Post zine was really nicely done the first time around and looks much the same for No. 2. It's definitely worth snatching if you're spending money online or making your way through Manchester.

The North Face Purple Label Day Pack

There are a lot of back packs out there these days, especially in the Japanese market. Not just pure volume either, but a lot of good ones. The North Face Purple Label still alludes North American, so perhaps its the unavailability that makes this one even more appealing, but I really like the mix of colors and details on this fall day pack with a little bit extra California reference.

Restock: Deadstock Swedish Army Belts

The Swedish Army belts have received a nice reception at our shop. We had a hard time finding another batch after selling our earlier this spring, but fortunately we managed to dig up a box in Germany in the last month. The current shipment is especially nice, all belts bare the thin numbers and single crown insignia, along with the extra loop on the belt.
