Remi Relief Denim Jacket

Hand crafted using an old shuttle loom, this denim is washed but not too faded. Designer Yutaka Goto pays close attention to single stitched sewing techniques and specific dye recipes. It is a more modern fit than the classic jean jacket but the colour and weight are both really nice. I find a jacket like this an easy layering piece during the cooler months.

We spent all of yesterday with BEAMS, meeting with Kenny of Beams Plus and a rare interview with Mr. Yo Shitara, the president of the legendary company. Besides a handful of interviews done, and more to come, we're trying to see as many shops as possible and go to as many restaurants with no English menus as we can.

I haven't seen many shoes by McKinlays, ever. Nepenthes is the only shop and brand that I have seen work with the footwear specialist, and as usually they have done a good job. I like their slip on brogue toe model, but its the suede 'comfort sole brogue' that is probably the easiest to wear.

As a special offering to some of The Real McCoy's retailers, the Japanese brand opened up a crate from their vintage archive to release these deadstock USN mugs. While they aren't overwhelming to look at online, in person they are beautiful, and a nice design classic for those who appreciate the details.
