Commonly referred to as the Jeep Coat, this double-breasted Mackinaw from The Real McCoy’s is a fantastic piece of outerwear, newly released by the brand this season. First issued as military uniform in 1944, its nomenclature originates from the exceptional warmth it offered, which drew Jeep drivers to wear it as a way to keep out the cold while operating their open-topped transportation. The heavyweight coat is lined with melton wool and features a highly durable duck canvas exterior, cutting a extremely timeless figure to say the least.

The reproduction experts at The Real McCoy’s have released their latest collection and amidst the customary offerings in military and workwear, there are always a number of entirely new items added to the line-up. This season they run the gamut from a classic navy blue raincoat worn by the US Air Force in the 1950s to T-shirts bearing the pin-up artwork of Ernesto Vargas, famed for emblazoning the noses of numerous aircraft in WWII. These unique pieces are shown next to a few welcome variants of old favourites, such as a vat dyed hooded sweatshirt in three shades and the less common navy coloured Utility Trouser.

We have an array of exceptional T-shirts but the real standouts are always their jackets.
