Geographic North is an independent record label based in Atlanta, Georgia. Since 2008 they have built an impressive roster, releasing limited edition tapes and records from both established and new artists in genres ranging from dream pop to dance, bridging electronic and analog. Inspired by record clubs and subscription series, the old school model encourages fans of the label and its aesthetic to discover new music easily by bringing collectible physical products into a world that is going more and more digital. Each release from Geographic North has a very consistent and interesting look, spearheaded by co-founder and designer Farbod Kokabi. I spoke to Kokabi about his design inspirations and what the future holds for the label.

Vault by Vans x Wtaps OG Style 36 LX

Vans and Wtaps have been working together for almost a decade and today marks the release of their latest collaborative collection. The eight-piece offering for Fall-Winter '15, produced as part of the footwear brand's Vault line, features two Caballero-inspired versions of the Sk8-Hi and a trio of Era options, influenced by the Japanese school uniform and colour-coded grading system. The highlight, however, is a tonal edition of the low cut Style 36 silhouette, built on a vulcanised rubber sole and rendered in three appealing shades of premium suede.

Totokaelo New York

After rumours circulating for the past year or so, tomorrow sees Totokaelo open at 54 Crosby Street in New York City. The 8,400-square-foot, five-story space will boast one of the most impressive brand lists around, with selections from Maison Margiela, Haider Ackerman, Vetements, Dries Van Noten and Junya Watanabe, among a variety of others. Offering men's and women's collections alongside footwear, accessories and homewares, all in a beautiful environment, the retailer would be a welcome arrival in any city.

Aesop Tacit Eau de Parfum

The skincare brand Aesop does an exceptional job of providing an outstanding product and a beautifully designed everyday item in one small package. Their latest fragrance, named Tacit, is created in conjunction with the perfumer Céline Barel, combining citrus and basil to reflect "the fresh notes found in traditional colognes; and the culture, topography, and fragile, perfumed vegetation of the Mediterranean coast."

Building on the foundation of previous seasons, the Fall-Winter '15 offering includes new colours across the six styles, my favourite being Burnt Honey. I've been a growing fan of the line, and between the variety of finishes and shapes, it offers an opportunity for a nice little arsenal of eyewear.

The UK-based shop Trunk has just received a range of styles from the French shoemaker Heschung. There are options for all occasions in brown and black smooth leathers, and suede versions of the Genet chukka boot in three different colours. The construction is first-rate and every pair is Norwegian welted and leather lined, making them an ideal choice for the season ahead.
