During New York Fashion Week, Master & Dynamic partnered with James W. Mataitis Bailey on a unique exploration of the sartorial mayhem. Capturing the sounds of NYFW through a five-part series of field recordings, James created a much more serene, acoustic picture of what was going on. Between Pre-Show, Making an Exit, The Photo Pit, The Launch and The City, the result is an interesting listen, and whether you were there or not, it's certainly a different experience.

The Air Zoom Pegasus 31 is one of my favourite releases from Nike Running in recent times, and I've used it regularly, alongside the Flyknit Racer, during the accumulation of kilometres this year. In light of that, I was excited to see the latest edition of the storied model: an appealing update, released in a handful of strong colour options.

On Friday Stussy and Très Bien released a small collaborative collection, which includes a long-sleeved polo shirt, loose-fitting shorts, a coaches jacket, sunglasses, a handful of graphic T-shirts and an embroidered boxy option. Using Italian fabrics combined with more contemporary silhouettes, the collection finds a balance between the Californian surf brand's roots and Très Bien's Swedish perspective.

If you have any interest in skateboarding, you've probably read Quartersnacks. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the hilarious trendsetting internet skateboarding hub. The site provides a truly original viewpoint on a sport that has exploded in popularity and gained mainstream acceptance. Quartersnacks captures the unmistakable energy of the Downtown NYC skate culture with plenty of humour and a healthy dose of self-awareness. QS doesn't only exist online though: they produce a very popular collection of T-shirts, sweats and decks, and have even collaborated with Nike on a shoe. To celebrate their anniversary, Brooklyn’s powerHouse Books is publishing a collection of the best (and worst) from the site alongside new essays, and a look back at the spots, shops and slang that have defined New York skateboarding in the past decade. Gosha Rubchinskiy Vans Sk8-HI

Potentially Gosha Rubchinskiy's last Vans collaboration, with Reebok in the works for SS16, this season's Sk8-Hi is probably the best style between the brands to date. Available in three colours – two worth buying – the shoes are made in a combination of premium leather and suede, with rubber reinforcement incase you take them off of the runway and onto some grip tape.

Ahead of his contribution to the forthcoming issue of Inventory magazine, New York-based photographer Michael James Fox worked with his wife, the stylist Jessica Zamora-Turner, on an editorial featuring a series of looks from the latest Aries collection. Designed by British duo Fergus Purcell and Sofia Maria Prantera, and produced predominantly in Italy, Aries is a feminine and playful adaptation of the aesthetic the pair established during their time at the celebrated streetwear brand Silas, inspired by the anti-consumerist youth movements of the second half of the 20th century.

Levi's Vintage Clothing Fall-Winter '15

This year marks the 100th anniversary of Levi’s partnership with the now legendary Cone Mills denim factory. The brand's marquee line, Levi’s Vintage Clothing, has produced a collection called The Golden Handshake, which draws on historically accurate garments from the early 20th century culled from their archive. The surrounding lookbook imagery is equally referential, utilizing this season's pieces in a believable presentation of period Appalachian photographs. This very special offering, which has now started to show up in stores, is the perfect way to mark such an auspicious occasion.

Converse Jack Purcell Signature Jungle Cloth

Earlier in the year, following on from their success with the 1970s Chuck Taylor, Converse released a modernized take on the classic Jack Purcell style. Rather than scrap what had been so successful over the decades, they went back to their roots, thickening the canvas, and updating only the things that matter. One of the innovations was the introduction of Nike Zoom Air Technology, improving the comfort and longevity exponentially. This season the Boston-based brand has gone one step further, adapting the winning formula that has already found a home on thousands of pairs of feet, by introducing the Signature edition in a new jungle cloth fabric. Inspired by the deck jackets worn by the US Navy in the 1940s, the shoe boasts a densely woven, water-repellent Bedford cord upper and a canvas inner lining to help keep feet warm and dry in the worst of weather conditions. Completed with an Ortholite footbed, and a herringbone outsole for improved traction, they're a great update to an already excellent shoe.
