Since coming across 08sircus I've become quite intrigued by the Japanese brand. Launched in Spring-Summer '10 and designed by Kiminori Morishita, the label offers a luxurious take on casual men's and womenswear. The men's spring collection provides plenty of patterns, mixing a variety of lightweight fabrics and a nice balance of muted tones to offset the pops of colour.

The best known cap company in the world has recently launched their Heritage Series, featuring a collection of old-style designs with vintage MLB logos. While New Era could have been quicker to the punch on this project, the result is a good-looking, well-made hat, now available through their own stores and select retailers.

While more prominently known for their outstanding cotton goods, Sunspel makes some exceptional wool items as well. This practical jacket is perfect for throwing on without a hassle, but still retains a refined look in the process. It is also sure to be soft against the skin, seeing as the unique Q12 fabric from which it is constructed was originally used for undergarments.

Tender Co. has been steadily building on their collection of incredibly well designed jeans every season and their unique patterns really separate them from all other denim out there. It takes the changing of the seasons for me to consider light denim such as this, but the strap detail and fit of these pants makes them all the more enticing.

It is the complete simplicity of the Ulm Stool, created as a utilitarian seat for the school at which Max Bill acted as dean, that makes it such an attractive piece of furniture. It has no superfluous details, yet functions as a stool, a shelf, a serving tray or a side table – just to name a few. It's no wonder the design school's workshops were full of them, and it works just as well in a home.
