The outdoor clothing and sportswear brand Gramicci always offer some great casual, no fuss options for the summer as far climbing shorts and pants go and Japanese shops always seem to snap up all of the best styles. This pair, featuring a slightly cropped leg are one of my favourite choices and would be a perfect selection for wearing with sneakers or sandals, and a plain, solid-coloured T-shirt.

It's hard to beat the companies manufacturing their product in Maine, as far as deck shoes go, but my choice would have to be this Paraboot model, handmade in Spain. The rugged lug sole adds a nice touch and keeps them well-suited to the outdoors, but otherwise all of the remaining details are true to the US-produced originals.

Penance by Glenn O'Brien

Published by Alldayeveryday, Penance documents a series of confessions disclosed to Glenn O'Brien at the Chelsea Hotel in New York City. The hard cover version comes in an edition of 100, while there were 400 copies produced with a soft cover. The publication includes a fold-out dust jacket by artist Richard Prince, as well as a prayer card written by O'Brien.

For most of its existence F.C. Real Bristol has only been available in Japan, but in the last couple of seasons there have been selections popping up at Nike shops and various select stores. Coinciding with the World Cup kicking off in Brazil, Très Bien have received a large shipment from the fictional Japanese football club.

Two hundred copies were produced, and the publication is now available both in-store and online.

However, yesterday they announced today's release of the Nike Free Mercurial Superfly HTM as the cherry on top. One of the stores I tend to regularly check out online is the Japanese retailer, Haluta. Alongside their strong clothing selection they also have a vintage furniture shop which has a large variety of vintage Alvar Aalto pieces, among other Scandinavian designers. While it might be expensive to ship them overseas, the website serves as an interesting catalogue of many of these classic designs – all beautifully photographed, alone and in situ.
