Yuketen is definitely one of the brands we are most excited to see each season. The brand and people behind it are great, and the products are always exceptional. We just received our first fall delivery which includes the Melton wool backpack, with natural veggie leather straps and accents. It's a serious bag, made by hand and lined with red canvas with multiple compartments. The first shoe to arrive is the Angler Moccasin in peanut suede - a great shoe that's arguably better than the Ranger Moc. We are looking forward to the arrival of a couple more styles in the coming month, including an INVENTORY/Yuketen collaboration.

do you know where in Asia, a place that have Yuketen?
1 - You can't really compare Yuketen and Quoddy other than the fact they are both making moccasins. The quality and design of Yuketen is on another level without question. The quality of materials, hand sewers and the passion put into the shoes are much better than Quoddy - and that does include a nicer shoe bag.
2 - The bag isn't hideously over priced if you consider how much things cost. Melton wool, duck canvas, brass hardware and of course the leather - combined with making a very small number and making each bag by hand. Then you ship the bag across the country, then up to Canada.
If people don't like the look then thats fine, but complaining about the price of goods like this is difficult because we know the strain and trials that Yuketen go through to make their products.
Erik - I agree, Russell make some great shoes and offer the chance to do unique things as well. It's a brand I could see us working with in the future. Somebody needs to for sure.
