One of the most interesting visits we made while in Japan last fall was to the White Mountaineering HQ. We had seen a lot of the brand online, but never in person, so it was exciting to see it in the flesh for the first time. The shop was definitely striking; from the stairway, to the windows, to the racks, to the walls. Painting things white is nothing revolutionary, but as these photos show, the shop looks beautiful and using of so much of it feels particularly special.
In our spring issue, Owen Parrott describes the trip and afternoon we spent with White Mountaineering.
