The Decisive Moment by Henri Cartier-Bresson has long been considered one of those rare, out-of-print photo books that carries a high price tag for original copies. That doesn’t have to be the case any longer. The German publisher, Steidl, has reissued a facsimile version of the 1952 book and hopefully its availability will help to continue eliciting Cartier-Bresson's hegemony and influence over photographers hoping to catch seemingly happenstance moments of beauty or quite possibly introduce his work to a whole new generation.
