With the first arrivals of the Fall-Winter '14 season, Totokaelo have relaunched their website to create a more cohesive home for their mens, womens and art-object offerings. It was already one of my favourite online destinations, but the Seattle-based retailer has done a fine job with easy to use navigation, clean art direction and high quality imagery.

After working out of Totokaelo's stockroom for the past ten years, Jill Wenger was able to secure the space next door to their Seattle storefront to house the growing retailer's new offices. The interior speaks for itself with plenty of natural light, classic furniture and lots of white space.

The Art–Object section at Seattle-based shop, Totokaelo, currently has an impressive selection of Doug Johnston pieces in stock. The sewn cotton vessels, bags, and structural objects are all unique, and particularly functional around the home.

Made in Italy from a mix of suede and nylon mesh, Common Projects have given their Track Shoe a nice update this season. They're available in black and warm grey and provide a premium, minimal alternative to trainers from more traditional sportswear brands.

As part of their Art-Object offering, Totokaelo in Seattle have a wide selection of small-scale sculptures by LA-based artist Morgan Peck. The abstract ceramic stoneware is handmade and whether practical or purely decorative, each piece has its own individual appeal.

Totokaelo has been regarded as one of the best independent womenswear stores on the west coast for a number of years. With a beautiful space, an interesting mix of fashion, accessories and home products, they've created a strong following in Seattle and online. Recently they've expanded by opening the basement of their Capitol Hill space to accommodate a menswear selection that includes Jil Sander, Yohji Yamamoto, Maison Martin Margiela and LVC among others.
