—01. Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual.

Buying a watch isn't quite like buying a pair of shoes or a new shirt. Of course, there are price point pieces that allow for that, but if you really want the right watch that you'll have for the rest of your life, it can be a tough decision. Price, brand and aesthetic are big factors. I've been casually looking for a couple years, but most watches I like are still out of my price range. The Submariner has become an obvious choice, but its rise in popularity has many people looking for other brands and models as an alternative. I've been looking at the simple paired down vintage Oyster Perpetual watches lately, but it's the kind of purchase that doesn't need to be rushed. In the meantime, the two links below have been interesting and educational resources for information on second hand watches.
