In addition to the beautiful garments, another highlight of A.P.C.'s Louis W. project is the promotion. Each season a unique and interesting film has been created featuring items from the latest collection. The Fall-Winter '15 narrative, starring Sasha Frolova, Zaga Skerletovic and Bruno Dicorcia, was written and directed by Grant Curatola and Louis Levy. Entitled Comfort, it mixes influences from Single White Female and Fatal Attraction with a more lighthearted love between the two main characters, reminiscent of Truffaut’s Jules and Jim.

Louis W.'s Spring-Summer collection features a little more colour than we're used to, and while still sparse, it's a nice addition to the premium outerwear line. Mixing a variety of fabrics and introducing some subtle changes, the pieces continue to evolve and add an elevated aspect to the overall A.P.C. offering.

Succinct yet highly impactful, the film introduces Bruno Di Corcia, while showcasing the Fall-Winter '14 offering.

I'll be honest, when the Louis W. line from A.P.C. started showing up, I wasn't exactly sure what the deal was. Who was Louis W.? Why were the jackets so expensive? Well, it turned out the former was an eight-year employee of the A.P.C. design team, and the latter was because they're leather jackets, and leather jackets – good ones – are almost always expensive. While I can't ever really imagine myself in a traditional leather piece, I am a fan of the classic suede bomber style, and appreciate concise, well executed collections. I also like the family feel Jean has created in letting this collaboration come to light, and allowing a new voice to shine from within his company. The small range of jackets created by Louis W. come with a higher price point, but the premium materials and simplicity of the pieces work well in tandem to create a great looking take on the iconic bomber style.
