The Nike Air Presto is an interesting shoe that comes from one of my favourite eras in the brand's history. The performance benefits it had in 2000 might be a little outdated, but it's still a style I'm particularly fond of, and the sock-like fit makes it an appealing casual option. I'm not usually one for wild patterns or prints on footwear, but for some reason the lightning motif just works on the Presto.

It's hard for this shoe to not immediately evoke memories of Just for Kicks, and the tales told by Grandmaster Caz and Bonz Malone. Storied history aside, it's a great sneaker with a timeless design, not often available in the Hi version, especially in such a classic colourway.

Adidas Energy Boost ESM

The variety of Adidas shoes available featuring Boost technology is quite impressive. Their Pure and Ultra Boost soles are certainly standouts, but the less minimal aesthetic of the Energy Boost caught my eye and pulled me in. It's the first time I've worn any shoes with the innovative foam cushioning, and I am pretty impressed with the level of comfort. This particular model also features a Torsion midsole and Techfit upper, which combine for a great feel, inside and out.

Nike Air Max 1 Premium Tape

The Air Max 1 has been on a good run this year, partially due to the A.P.C. collaborations, but Nike has produced a number of solid renditions for general release as well. This black on black, taped seam version offers a more substantial feel and enough protection to get you through some moderate winter weather.
