Those with particular tastes could easily drop a lot of money at the Japanese furniture shop Building, with all the incredible pieces they regularly receive. I often visit the store's website as part of my online browsing circuit, but I don’t think I've ever seen this Jean Prouvé design before. Represented in the MoMA permanent collection and sometimes referred to as the Light chair, it was reproduced by Vitra for a decade from 2002 to 2012. These days it's much more difficult to find, but now that it’s in my mind, I'll have a hard time considering any other wood and steel chairs. Well outside my budget, it won’t be mine anytime soon, but that's how she goes, I guess.
