Tanner Goods recently released these incredibly simple driving gloves made from a maple-coloured Utica leather that they worked on with Horween. Sure to be the only gloves you’ll need for the winter, and years to come for that matter, the rugged yet refined leather will only get better with age, softening and shaping to your hands as it breaks in. I was sold, knowing that this is the same leather used by WWII paratroopers, and if it can stand up to the rigorous paces they would have put it through, it will definitely fare well in everyday use.

Nick Horween from Horween Leather has put together a series of photographs culled from a recent visit to Berlin, Wisconsin that must be very satisfying to the Russell Moccasin heads out there. It's a glimpse into the workings of the longstanding bookmaker, that hasn't changed much since its origins, and shows off some nice triple vamp constructions and a lot of hand-stitching.

This fall Clarks have collaborated with some materials specialists from both the UK and the US. There were some interesting designs produced, but the standout by far is the selection that Clarks have made with Horween Leather, offering the Wallabee and the Desert boot in a small selection of leather options.
