Fresh off the train into Florence this morning, we are here for three days to visit Pitti Uomo. It's always exciting to see the new collections, especially for a fall season. So far the weather has been beautiful, hopefully the products will be the same.

Here's the last few snaps from Florence this summer. There's some sneak peeks at new pieces from Post Overalls and Engineered Garments, and a look at the legendary Milky Pig event put on by WP Lavori. The trip was very busy, but we also had a great time and it is always nice to connect with our friends from around the world.

It's been a busy and productive trip to Florence so far. While it's almost over now, we've got another handful of meetings and collections to buy on our last day at Pitti. The show hasn't disappointing thus far, and we've managed to cook up some interesting special products as well that should be exciting to see next spring.

The first leg of the trip mostly consisted of travel, so there weren't a ton of great images to capture from my middle seat on the plane. I got my first taste of Holland in the Amsterdam airport however, before meeting with Simon in Bologna and taking the train into Florence. Tomorrow we're off to the fair grounds to see collections from Esemplare, Yuketen, Monitaly and a few others.

Florence, Day Two

Our first full day in Italy was packed with appointments at Pitti and followed up by a beautiful evening in the Tuscany countryside. Much of Pitti Uomo was as we expected, but still impressive and really interesting to see. From the sea of navy blue, driving shoes and white pants, we bumped into several friends, designers and shop owners; some it was great to meet for the first time and others nice to see again. The weather held off nicely and the sun came out in time to set over the vineyards in the country. The location, view, food and company couldn't have been better.
