It might be the earliest Fall delivery ever, but it doesn't mean we weren't excited to receive it. The new Engineered Garments collection is definitely one of our favorites of the season. The first shipment includes the Bedford jacket in olive and navy wool, and duck canvas. Also, there is a Field Parka in olive and black, with wool herringbone lining and the Brookline reversible jacket in navy wool. For shirting, we have the blue floral print 19th Century and a selection of Workaday BD shirts in white oxford, blue oxford and chambray. To round off the shipment, there are a couple of pocket squares, cotton scarves and some beautiful knit ties.

Engineered Garments FW11 Lookbook

The Engineered Garments FW11 has just recently made its way online, and around the internet in no time. It's one of my favorite look books from the New York based brand, with great timing, the art work in the Nepenthes NY store turned out to be a great back drop for the colors in the collection. With lots of wools, a bit of floral, some new styles and some classics - it is a very strong fall collection, coming soon. There are even several styles not even featured in these images that were some of our favorites of the offering as well, so keep an eye out for a couple new pieces of outerwear from Daiki this fall.

Engineered Garments Duffle Backpack

Engineered Garments aren't necessarily known for their bags, but for years they have put out some great canvas carriers of different forms. This spring, the duffle backpack turned out pretty nice, especially in this military olive green. The bag is simple, but easy to throw around, pack up and carry wherever you need to. It's also now on sale at the Brooklyn retailer.

The sun finally came out in Vancouver on the first official day of summer. It's still not entirely hot out however, so a jacket might be good to keep with you, say in your back pack? The colors here feel nice and summery, casual and easy to mix around together. Comfort is definitely key, so whether you need a little added layering, or the hot weather haven of a madras shirt, whatever the climate, you'll be set.

Recently, during arguably the worst time to open a shop in Japan, Post Overalls opened a small store front in Aoyama, Tokyo. The shop features a full selection of Takeshi's collection, as well as a few special products. As an exclusive for the store, Takeshi and Daiki worked together to create this Engineer jacket. The details are simple and the result is very nice.

We just had our one-year anniversary of the Inventory Stockroom this past weekend. We decided not to make a fuss about it, but we're still happy to have had a fairly successful first year of brick and mortar retail. We appreciate the support from everybody online, overseas and in Vancouver and look forward to a few more years in Vancouver, and hopefully even somewhere new within the next year or two.

Staples: Engineered Garments Workaday Fatigues

I can't really say any of the Engineered Garments Workaday pieces aren't staples for myself, but the Olive Sateen fatigues are probably one of the best items they offer. Always a classic, the wide leg pant has just the right balance of clean detailing, reference to the original vintage version and updated fit. While that doesn't refer to the width of the leg, the cut of the pants and the way the fabric in particular washes and wears is really nice.
