An original member of the Velvet Underground who left the band before their first paid gig, Angus MacLise is a mysterious figure in the countercultural history of 1960s America. It is his work in the Theatre of Eternal Music that I am the most enamoured with and this catalog from the Dreamweapon exhibit that encapsulates his output, contained in a suitcase that was left for safekeeping with LaMonte Young and Marian Zazeela before he split for a life that would eventually end up devoted to Buddhist practice in Nepal.
