It might not be in the same realm as a hand-painted vintage original, but this Aloha shirt by Japanese brand Bru Na Boinne is the best contemporary version I've seen in a long time. The lightweight fabric, the subtle combination of greys and pinks, and the simplicity of the asymmetrical flamingo pattern – with what looks like a stingray and a diver thrown in for good measure – add up to something very special. I was sold as soon as I laid eyes on it.

With the Strohl Jacket, Bru Na Boinne have made one of the better looking and more unique coverall jackets on the market. Most of its distinction comes in the form of the rich, caramel brown colour, but the cut looks a little longer than usual, which is also a nice touch.
