Just out of curiosity: did Tres Bien pay for this? Sometimes your posts feel like advertorials?

Some of them are not summer appropriate but it's a nice advert post for très bien anyway.

The Visvims are so hot. Only if they were'nt so damn expensive. For my money I'd rather pick up the new Timberland Abington in camel suede. A dynomite alternative.

Nope, Tres Bien didn't pay for this... just noticed they have lots of nice shoes in stock at the moment... Pretty sure all of them work nicely in the spring/summer however.

Why does Visvim have to increase their prices? Irritating, this is one of my favourite brands, but I can only afford the brand on ebay, so I'm not supporting the brand really.

The navy Aldens are absolutely stunning. Visvims are a huge ripoff and seem geared toward the KAWS-crowd--I started to ignore them once I realized that their $1600 hiking boots from this past winter were made in China.

Pretty much summed up all of the shoes I want right now.

I'd like to think that what you are getting by buying a Visvim product is more than the product itself. Your definitely buying into an aesthetic and concept for what is traditionally a pretty stale genre. Modern menswear, especially men's sportswear has always been about the function of the product over the construction and it's symbiotic relationship between the product and user. You can't deny the great care and detail that Hiroki puts into his product development . You can tell that the guy puts a bit of himself into his brand. It may not all be made in the mountains of Italy or in some blue-collar town in Maine (boring)but the brand message and product is consistently relevant and pretty damn stylish which is pretty much what I'm looking for when cultivating my personal style.

The link is broken for the Visvim, a photo of canary yellow Sebagos comes up instead.

The Gibsons are quite nice, as well.

Please can someone explain Visvim to me? They appear to cost many shekkels and my muscly plates of meat just won't fit these Lotus shoes.
Visvim has some ingenious designs, good materials and short series. They also have a premium distribution with costly stores in good areas. I guess they need big markups to keep this running.

Truth is, If you are not much into their aesthetic, there are tons of better quality footwear options at lower prices.
