—01. Hats, $85; cardigans, $325.

Words

Our first collaboration with Inverallan last winter went really well, so it was an easy decision to keep things going again this season. The wait has been a long one, but the first shipment will be available by next weekend. The cable knit caps will be available first, with our new cardigan arriving shortly thereafter. The hats will be coming in five colours this fall - red, grey, oatmeal, olive and blue.

Available soon at Inventory Stockroom and Dover Street Market

I was under the impression these guys closed up shop. Check their website (or at least what I think is their website.) http://www.inverallanhandknitters.co.uk/

Jared -- they've stopped doing individual custom orders and now sell their products exclusively to retailers (like Inventory).

Are the cardigans coming in any other colours?

This is great news. I was also under the impression that they had closed up shop. Glad to see that these Scots are still churning out quality goods.

Love the cardigan. Screams "winter."
Is it the same type of wool as last year?
November 23, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterSR
Yup, its the same classic wool that Inverallan usually use. It will be just available in the oatmeal for the cardigan, but there are 5 colours total for the hats.

Fantastic, and great colors! Wish the price point was better, I ordered one of these directly from Inverallan last year for $25! What's the deal with ¢85?!

Props to you guys for helping make Inverallan more available.

These days, it seems as though many 'heritage' brands typically start out in Japan and then become more widely available. It's really sad to see Inverallan do the reverse.

It may be slightly painful to compare Inventory's prices to the old Inverallan prices (especially considering Inverallan did MTM). But, it's not realistic to do so. Rather, you have to compare Inventory's prices to those of the Japanese shops, where everything seems to costs twice as much as it does at Inventory.
