Old Faithful has quickly become one of my favorite stores in Vancouver. Besides the space being incredibly beautiful and welcoming, Walter Manning continues to bring in great items from printed matter to furniture to vintage lighting. Right now, he's got a handful of items that are high on my 'want' list, but these wool blankets and canvas laundry baskets are at the top. The blankets are especially nice, and they're also made in Canada. I will definitely be picking one up very soon as the temperature has dropped and we're supposedly in for our worst winter ever in Vancouver.

Before you pull the trigger on your new blanket you might want to consider something by Welsh woollen mill Melin Tregwynt. I've had one for their blankets for around 10 years now, it gets used by all the family (including the dog) and it's still like new.
