Rest Store is one of downtown Manhattan's hidden retail gems. Their in-house line, Made With Rest, features an assortment of hand crafted and collaborative goods, ranging from lighters and soap to shirts and footwear. One of the best products I've seen from the line lately is the MWR 6" Work Boot. I'm not normally a big fan of black footwear but the simple silhouette looks amazing here in thin roughout suede with green stitching on the low profile Vibram sole. The boots are loaded with detail thanks to a heel stamp, tongue tag and custom gold "MWR" eyelets. Made in USA with goodyear welt construction is always a good thing too. They're available at both the Rest Store and at recently opened Nepenthes New York, where you can currently find a selected variety of goods from Rest Store.

Rest Store is legit. Only people still playing Vybz Kartel - the subtle Jamaican influences behind their image are refreshing.

LOL. These are like carbon copies of the Red Wing 8165 and 8166 boots. However, I'm certain these costs almost double.

Simmer down, we all know about Red Wings. I think the MWR silhouette is a wee bit nicer and extra details give it the edge. The range of footwear they have is more than impressive.

Popcaan is good - I'd have to say I prefer the Gaza Empire over The Alliance, though I do like Mavado a lot.

only thing I slightly detest is the laces

@ Justin

Simmer down? I'm not upset in the least. I don't see how the silhouette of the MWR is a wee nicer, when it looks exactly the same---only difference being the laces and color of stitching; but that's IMHO. Wouldn't it have made more sense to just do a Red Wing collabo, as opposed to accurately replicating another shoe that's still being sold? Meh.....That's just me I guess.

Red wings and filsons have a metal shank in them (makes them heavy), these dont, they're about as light as visvim boots but not made in korea and as durable as red wing, ive been happy, no complaints, best made in usa boots ive had so far. and actuaclly theyre way less money than visvim too! ha

Gaza for sure. Nah Fear When Walk. No disrespect to Mavado and Busy Signal, but we'll take Vybz and Popcaan all day at Outlier HQ. The Hotskull was out performing the Teacher all spring on riddims (Street Vybz), but no one can touch Vybz in quality quantity right now. Solid tunes almost every week and legit hits almost every month, madness.
