Hypebeast Feature: The Gastown Culmination

01

Details

—01. Right to left: Simon, Owen and myself.

Words

Over the last five or six years there has been one definitive name in our blogosphere, Hypebeast. I would be surprised if anybody who reads this website hasn't visited before. I'd also be surprised if every blogger out there wasn't influenced by the website in one way or another. Over the last couple of years Hypebeast has cemented its place at the top even further by refining their layout, execution, video and series of features. Recently we were fortunate enough to be featured by Hypebeast in relation to our new space, the development of the magazine and the direction of our brand.

Hah, I went to school with those blokes (left two). I had no idea they were behind INVENTORY.

Ryan - what is the green jacket you are wearing?
June 8, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterAlexander
Haha, the ol' left to right conundrum...

Alexander: Ryan is actually farthest left, Owen middle, Simon far right. The green jacket Simon is wearing, is the now "Classic" EG Bird Shooter. Possibly the most asked about and lusted after item in the history of the website? Unless of course you do mean the jacket Ryan is wearing, but that looks blue to me... although I am Colourblind.

Still, you'd think Simon would look a bit more excited to be wearing such a wonderful jacket...

Cheer Up Mate!

Alexander, that would be Simon in the green jacket. But I'd love to know as well.

Nice write-up as always. Keep it up boys.

Thanks for the comments and for filling in the info JS.
It goes right to left; Simon, Owen, Ryan - Simon is wearing the legendary Bird Shooter in green, my jacket is by MHL and it is navy - JS, I believe you know it.

Is Owen wearing that Wilson Sweat you guys wrote about a little while back? I see no side seam so I guess it is not a variation of the McCoy's or Our Legacy? I remember reading the Wilson was constructed using a loop-wheel technique. But I am just guessing.

What is the pair of denim he is wearing as well? LVC? The selvedge line makes me think so but I am not entirely sure.

Good interview, and I want to give credit to Owen this time for definitely hit the mark in this photo. Congrats on the shop opening as well guys.

What jeans is Ryan wearing?
June 12, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterArjan
Thanks for all of the nice comments.

Owen, Simon and myself are all wearing LVC 501 1944s actually. Owen's sweat shirt is by The Real McCoy's.

The MHL jacket isn't the same. Similar color, but the one I am wearing is more casual and one we have for sale is a bit more of a sport jacket.
