Last Sunday saw the bi-annual South London edition of Mid-Century Modern at Dulwich College. If you're not familiar with the event the best way I could describe it is it's a kind of Pop Up Flea for Mid-Century modern furniture and accessories. The show brings together the very best of the UK's Mid-Century furniture dealers and puts them under one roof for the day giving the buying public the biggest selection of 50s, 60s and 70s Scandinavian and Scandinavian influenced interior furnishings anywhere in the country.
With somewhere in the region of 90 dealers spread over five halls selling a huge array of classic and rare Mid-Century furniture from the likes of Aalto, Mogensen, Knoll, Jalk, Vodder, to name just a few, it's the perfect place to track down that hard to find piece you have been hunting high and low for.
The next Mid-Century Modern switches to North London and Lords Cricket Ground on 15 May. If you happen to be in the London area on this date it would be great to see you there.
