Arc'teryx for Beams

Words

Included in a slough of Beams collaborations is this great, playful backpack made by Arc'teryx. The 35th anniversary products have produced some outstanding items for the Japanese retail giant, but this multi-color and fabric bag is really appealing. The size is ideal for bike rides to work or short hikes on the weekend. While not the most subtle bag on the market, I've always liked the use of color in more technical items, be it bags or outerwear.

You "always liked it", or more likely, you started to pretentiously like it when you saw the colorful technical gear on Japanese shop websites. You´re such a phony, Ryan, and all the world can tell you are just copying your clothing taste from Japanese e-shops and pretend you came up with it.

But what is worst about you is that you can´t write - your style is that of a high school dropout who was always more interested in showing off clothing than studying.

Everybody can tell, Ryan. Why don´t you shut up forever?

Leave it out Shub.

The bag's awful, who cares?

Settledown now. Does the posting of a bag someone likes, on the blog section of a magazine really offend you that much?

If it does I think you might want to seriously take a look at some of your priorities.

I don't really get why people who hate what this place is about come here just to leave brutal comments for no real reason.

Internet bullying? Why do you feel the need to act like you're so much better than everyone else? If you don't like someone's bag, or magazine, or writing, or fucking haircut, just avoid them. It's worked for me my whole life.

PS. "but what is worst about you". Study in school much yourself?

i really like the colors in the bag and also how arc'teryx usually doesn't make color options like this. Very affordable too. Good combo and good find. It's also interesting how you have made a pretty healthy and successful career in writing with a highschool dropout style of writing(internet sarcasm for the internet thug).

yeah but we can't freak out everytime there's a negative comment. If the guy is angry about anything Inventory, then let him talk shit.

SB: it's not a freak out I don't think. Negative is fine. It's fine to hate a bag, or a post, there's just no need to take it to some personal level, in my opinion.

If you asked anyone that knows me they'd tell you I'm all about a healthy dose of negativity! Probably an unhealthy dose too.

Maybe, a low level of self restraint could be practiced. I don't like the colors, either. I cant tell you one way or the other weather I like the functionality of the bag or even the brand for that matter. I don't own anything from Arc'teryx. Going ape-shit on somebody for liking something you dont is overboard. Just agree to disagree. Like I said, I dont like the bag either- based on color. But, I did'nt call the man on his whole way of life or educatinal vocation, either.

I had a Karrimor rucksack like this when I was at primary school in the late eighties, early nineties. It would not go with anything I would wear now and I certainly would not pay top dollar for it, but that picture takes me back to those days.

I think we all had some funky stuff at some point in the 90,'s. The think is they never look as cool as those JP things.
