My two favourite elements when it comes to an Alden shoe are probably long wings and plantation crepe soles, but black leather and black soles aren't usually on the top of my list. In this instance however, the black alpine grain leather looks nice with the subtle pebbles and I could see these shoes looking very nice after a winter beating.

These look somehow weirdly tactile to me. As if they are sculpted from coal or made from liquorice or something. In a good way.
