On a recent trip to Santa Fe, NM photographer Mikael Kennedy took a short drive to the remote town of Española in search of some mythical caves he had read about while researching the Nakashima Church in Chama Canyon. The caves aren't listed anywhere on a map but, with the help of a friend who is proficient with Google Earth, Kennedy was able to pinpoint the exact location. It was worth it: the caves are breathtaking – hand carved and extremely ornate. They almost look fake. When asked about his experience Kennedy told me, “They are kept secret for a reason; somethings have to be earned and you tend to better respect the things you have to work for."

We Got The Juice

Nice Night presents a special collaboration between Tight Club and The Juice Truck featuring two completely new drinks: 0-100, a pre-workout juice and The Catch Up, a replenishing recovery drink. To launch the collaboration on January 22nd, there will be a 5km run in Vancouver and a giveaway from Nike. As part of the project, I worked on this short running film featuring the Nike Flash collection, and Nice Night will be producing a special running mix which will be released next week before the event.

Based in Zurich, Sunday Inventory is a gallery and agency that represents a fine selection of photographers, mainly from Europe. Their website offers the opportunity to buy selected prints from each of the artists, and if you happen to be in Zurich before March 7th they have a new show opening today entitled Commissioned Works, which features photographs by Nacho Alegre, Max Farago, Bruna Kazinoti, Andreas Larsson, Robi Rodriguez and Daniel Sannwald, among others.

Matthieu Lavanchy is a talented photographer based between London and Paris. His still life images are especially beautiful, and this story is an example of some of his more calming work. Commissioned by luxury handbag label, Pramma, and art directed by Veronica Ditting, Lavanchy shot this series last year.

Adidas' steady rollout of collaborations is only going to increase this year with anticipated releases from Pharrell and Kanye, but the more interesting products come from their work within the fashion industry.
