In the last couple of years we've seen a handful of websites begin to produce magazines. It's a pretty interesting trend and one that I might not have anticipated a few years ago. Now many of the bigger online blogs are producing print, Hypebeast is the most recent to release their first offering. It's a very solid publication with a nice selection of editorials and interviews.

Sassafras first caught our eye in early 2009 and last week it was exciting opening the first couple of boxes from Japan. The first delivery includes two pairs of shorts, two pairs of pants and two shirts. The garments are made with beautiful fabrics and really unique, interesting details - it's one of the cleanest brands on the market in my opinion. The product range is rather restrained and small, but the quality and vision is precise and its very well executed all around.

I've always kind of liked clear frames, but I've never even tried a pair on. I know they're not for me, but they can look great on the right face. There's an older man who lives in the building above our office, and I always think they look really nice on him, so maybe a few years down the road I'll be able to consider them an option.

Workers have recently updated their website with new items on offer. Of the selection, the American Field Vest is my top choice. The colour and fit looks perfect, its definitely a nice layering piece for the fall.

When it comes to wearing military garments, I feel like jackets and pants are the best items. I picked up these tiger camo pants from The Real McCoy's shop last fall and now I'm considering the jungle fatigues. The fabrics and construction are particularly nice, but they also have a nice shape and fit.

It's been a little while since the last issue of hobo magazine, but it seems it was worth the wait. Issue no. 14 includes interviews with Willem Dafoe, Tom Waits and Glenn O'Brien along with some beautiful photography by Marth Borthwick and Editor-in-Chief Shawn Dogimont.

After previewing the Engineered Garments FW12 collection last week, we take a look at the women's collection, FWK. Using many of the same fabrics, I feel the styling and layers in the women's look book may be a little bit nicer. As well, the selection of Nepenthes footwear looks especially good.

Buddy Optical recently launched a beautiful campaign photographed by Jennilee Marigomen and organized by Twelve Books. The simple, classic glasses are easy to wear and come in traditional colours with updated shapes.
