Words

To coincide with the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York, Sight Unseen founders Monica Khemsurov and Jill Singer have helped to organise the NoHo Design District. From May 17-20 they will bring together designers and retailers for an interesting and inspiring mix of mediums and people. After working with Kyle Garner of Sit and Read on our New York store, it only made sense to host the launch of his canvas Sling Chair, which you'll find at our Extra Place location this weekend.

Makr Notebooks

Words

I first heard about this particular product from Jason at Makr a few years ago. It's taken a long time, and lot of work, for this project to come to fruition, and so I was particularly excited to see these notebooks finally make it into production. I know that great lengths were taken to design Jason's ideal notebook, from the paper, to the cover and the custom elastic band closure; something he can use everyday. Every tiny part of this notebook was carefully considered by Jason and his team, and it comes as a highly recommended everyday essential.

Decho Mountain Hat

Words

We've featured many bucket hats at Inventory, but I've still yet to find the perfect one for myself. Decho's wide range of headwear can be a little bit daunting to search through, but after a thorough look, their Mountain Hat seems like it might be one of their best. It's not too deep, the brim is fairly small and the subtle fabric detail around the base looks quite nice.

New Balance 587

Words

My favourite style of New Balance runner, and we all know there are tons of incredible options, is the often overlooked 587. The 587 is one of the elite few styles that New Balance makes that are made in the USA. They are incredibly unhip and orthopaedic looking, in their navy and grey exterior, but I love them anyway. There is something for me that transcends their chunky awkwardness, and it goes beyond their extreme comfort.

Our first spring delivery from The Real McCoy's includes a handful of new items and a re-stock on a couple staples. The new 10 oz. Sweatshirt is now offered with a raglan sleeve and the lighter weight makes it especially good for the current season, while the T-shirts, accessories, mugs and N-3 Utility Shirt round up a nice selection of items.

Buzz Rickson Zip-Front Sweatshirt

01

Words

One of Buzz Rickson's marquee pieces is the loop wheeled sweatshirts they produce. The fabric is loomed on original 1920s loop wheel machines and while the 1930s-1940s crew neck style might be more traditional, I am partial to the zip-front hooded version in navy.
