orSlow’s BD shirts are some of my favourites, not just for their exceptional exclusive fabrics but also for their impeccable fit. Not overly slim and slightly longer than most, they have a classic shape that works very well with both narrower and wider pants in equal measure. The denim version has been my choice for quite a while now, but seeing this durable, warm wool-blend version has me contemplating adding another strong fall-winter option to my wardrobe.

As we move into fall, the consideration of wool and warming accessories will soon become a reality again. In turn, the general tone of the clothing we wear often becomes more muted, so adding a subtle red plaid via a winter scarf is not a bad idea.

As one of Vancouver's most respected artists, Rodney Graham's series of shows in collaboration with the Rennie Gallery this year have been a real treat. The third and final instalment, Props and Other Paintings, is comprised of works that featured in light box pieces such as The Gifted Amateur, Pipe Cleaner Artist, My Late Early Styles and Lobbing Potatoes at a Gong. Graham's narratives have a wonderful sense of humour, highlighting his personal and cultural insights, and while the art featured in them was originally conceived only as a piece in a bigger puzzle, their development and evolution warrants a deeper look based purely on artistic value.

Junya Watanabe has a way of making everything else I'm looking at just that little bit less appealing. I thought I needed a pair of navy trousers for winter, but all the others I've seen pale in comparison to this option, made up of three pairs. Whereas most designers would have struggled to avoid making this treatment look tacky, as usual Junya hits the nail right on the head.
