Words

The Raf Simons collection with Sterling Ruby has received a lot of press this season, from retailers, publications and celebrities – and for good reason. It's one of the more exciting projects right now, and while many of the products are a bit loud for my taste, there are a few gems in the offering. This olive green cotton parka features a pared down design with a classic graphic treatment on the back, which is enough to set it apart while still being very wearable.

Launching today, Raf Simons has created a special range of T-shirts and sweatshirts to mark the 20th anniversary of one of Copenhagen's best retailers. Featuring a selection of archive imagery and text from Simons' previous collections, the garments come in a handful of colours and, with only 20 of each available, they are sure to sell out quickly.

With the Raf Simons x Sterling Ruby collection hitting retailers for fall, I took the opportunity to look back at this interview from 032c's 20th issue. The article revolves around Ruby's work at the time and touches on his collaboration with Simons on the brand's Tokyo flagship in 2005. With an approximate reading time of 21 minutes, it's worth a look for some deeper insights into the artist's outlook and approach to his various works.

Words

These shoes might be priced rather highly, especially considering their subtle design in comparison to the originals, but there is an undeniable appeal. Whether it's an interest in Raf Simons – the man or the label – or maybe the desire for something just that little bit different, these are probably the simplest Consortium collaboration to date, as well as the best.
