While the Makr brand has been slowly diversifying in the last couple of years, they are creating a lot more than wallets these days. Aside from the nice canvas bags, Jason has been working on their first piece of furniture: the Makr Studio Stool. The design has just been finalized and the results are beautiful. Clean and simple, yet sturdy and ready for years of good use, it comes in polished steel or flat black. The seat is a butternut wood and compliments the metal perfectly. Prices range from $375 to $550 depending on the finish and whether or not you require a back.

The latest edition is the new Farm Ruck which uses natural canvas and beautiful leather accents from Horween's legendary tannery. The Makr brand has been continuing to impress us with the new products; working with Horween and a couple new tote bags are just a couple of the reasons. Besides the products Jason Gregory, the man behind the brand, has been publishing a blog on the brand’s website. Sometimes it’s directly related to new products, design or manufacturing, but lots of the time it’s simply inspiring images and nice photography. Recently he posted some behind the scenes images which are worth a look. The photography is beautiful and the overall curation of the blog is quite nice and one for the RSS.
